I guess I'm going to be one of the so far only two voices of dissent and say that I'm mildly intrigued by it and will be giving it a chance. I'm also tremendously good at compartmentalization, so that might have something to do with it (e.g. nothing can ruin or taint the originals for me, so I don't really care whether something fucks the franchise up).

I doubt I'll see it in theaters, though. I usually don't even see movies I'm really excited about in theaters, because I'm a huge cheapskate.

I'm definitely with you on the compartmentalization thing. While I suspect I'll be lamenting the wasted potential of the new movies, nothing JJ Abrams can do can make the OT retroactively suck. If only because I can just roll my eyes and tell myself it was all some weird dream Luke had after he ate a bad Bantha Burger.
