I realize it was a famous musical LOOONG before it was a movie, but Rent was a helluva lot better when I was nineteen.

I mean, I still love the music and I love parts of the plot, but at thirty, everyone seems so annoying and, dare I say it... entitled. Man, if I went back in time and said that to my nineteen year old self, I would hate me.

Hahaah the first time I saw Rent I was 25 and I was like... what the actual hell is this supposed to be.

The problem with Rent is that it's awesome when you're in college.

Then you go out into the real world and have to, well, pay your damn rent. And your student loans. And your utility bills. And your costs of living like gas for your car.

It's amazing how quickly you lose all sympathy for most of the characters after hitting the real world.

I'm like, "Hey! You shouldn't incite a riot and skate off to have beer while other people get arrested for it!" and "WTH you killed a dog!"
