I don't mind the AUs, especially as it makes the OOC stuff a little more palatable. I haven't seen as much fluff, since it seems like a lot of authors have been exploring the fact that Bard will die and leave Thranduil alone.

But I agree that the fic is pretty bad. There's so much blushing going on. Also, playful!Thranduil is about as weird as evil!Thranduil to me.

I'm writing my own Bard/Thranduil fic in the hopes of adding something a little better to the mix. I'm not sure if I will succeed but there will definitely be no blushing.

Same! I'm really in the mood for some good slow-burn fic that's at least semi-happy at the end. So I'm trying to write some too, haha.

Best of luck with your fic! I'm sure it will be well received. The less blushing ~uguu kawaii~ Thranduil, the better, imho. :)
