Text: As a Star Wars fan, it pains me to say that I’m not excited about this movie in the slightest.

Because I have a feeling it’ll be nothing but a giant circlejerk towards the Original Trilogy, and not allow the new characters, and their stories, to stand on their own.

S!B: Apparently, even saying “I’m not really interested” without trying to be a squee-harsher, or speaking the slightest bit of ill towards the OT makes you Satan Incarnate in the eyes of JJ Abrams and OT stans.

(It’s why I’ve stopped talking to people I know about this movie with local folks. With how they’ve reacted, you’d think I’d insulted [insert revered historical/holy figure here])
