I really want Sarah Palin to try and get the nomination. She has as much chance of getting it as an ice cube has of surviving hell, but I want her to try.

I've seen a bunch of people seriously argue that she's using drugs (some kind of upper specifically) just on the basis of her speeches

and I'm not even sure I can disagree

I don't know, I feel like she's been milked for all the comedy the media can come up with about her. That's pretty much how I make wishes about the Republican nomination. I just want someone entertaining since I'd never want a Republican to actually win in the end since their platform is so repulsive to me.

Lulz are pretty much the main reason I want her to go for the gold.

I currently live in an alternate universe where Barry Goldwater won the election, 90's-era John McCain won the nomination and the election, and John Huntsman won the nomination and the election after him. It's a glorious universe, filled with bootstraps, personal responsibility, and moaning liberals. Ahhh, paradise.

Yes, this is a good reason to vote for the Republican Party

because of three people, one of whom left office in 1987 and the other two of whom wouldn't be able to win a primary for dogcatcher in the modern Republican Party

Man, I loved John Huntsman. It really says a lot about the Republican party that he had less support than Rick Freakin' Santorum though.

He won in 2008. He won again in 2012. Now he is ready to leave office.

That's in the alternate universe. In the real world I am aware this did not happen (you poor, unfortunate souls). While he could still run, the fact is he's not. It's a very sad situation for everyone involved.
