Eh, I feel old at twenty seven. I'm also starting to get a bunch of white hairs and I'm afraid I'm going grey prematurely. :( That isn't helping haha

I side-eye your supposedly-premature grey hair. By 27, I'd been dyeing my hair for years. Found my first grey hair when I was 15. On the positive side, the silver-grey I have holds colour REALLY well. :)

Twenty seven still is considered premature, and fifteen is also premature. :p

What age are you supposed to start getting grey hairs at, then? I ask because almost everyone I know in their late 20s-early 30s has at least some.

Late mid to late 40's is the average I believe

Mid 30's if you're Caucasian. Ethnic hair tends to start to go grey slightly later, typically mid 40's.

I found my first stray greys in my late 20's. I had a friend in high school who saw her first at about 15. There are a lot of factors that play into it, including genetics. For your best estimate, look at your older family members.

Kind of, sort of. My Mom was SO excited when she got her first grey hair.. at 55.

Me? I followed her two younger sisters and started greying in my 20's.

I can laugh at it now, but at the time I was Not Amused. :P
