Uh, okay, here's the thing: Sometimes when people refer to themselves as old it's not because they're actually old, it's because of how they feel. You can never really know what's going on in someone's life.

People with mental illness often feel older than they are, people who have been through trauma and lived through shitty childhoods often feel older than they are, people with chronic pain often feel older than they are... It's not just about your physical age.

Maybe that's something you ought to remember the next time you decide people you don't know are just ''egotistical.''
