But it's possible to have OTPs without the craziness?

I mean, I have characters I would never ship with any other character, but I''m pretty ok accepting: 1) it's not canon 2) other people may like one or the other with someone else. And most people I know who have OTPs is the same.

The "interrogating the text form the wrong perspective" is just one (not as small as I would like to believe) loud group.

Basically this. ou can ship a couple passionally, without analyzing ever canon scene id their hands move half an inch closer, and see this as proof that they're coded as lovers or whatever bullshit.
