Representation is great, but their relationship in particular and the show in general were poorly written. You're not obliged to like bad thinks just because they are progressive. Having the guts to give the main character a same sex love interest was freaking awesome. Unfortunately the show was not.

Those last two sentences sum up my feelings about Legend of Korra and Korrasami completely.

Agreed. YAY on representation. Boo on having a poor writing.

The ending reminded me of LOST in a way. In the way the writers on LOST tried to push the belief that it was never about the plot or the mysteries, it was about the characters. (To make up for the awful ending and decreasingly poor writing.) I feel Korra is being pushed that way too.

Last two sentences, thanks for putting it into words because that is exactly how I feel about this. Was it cool that Korra and Asami ended up together? Yeah! Did I like how it happened and the show in general? Nah, not really.

I thought seasons 3 and 4 were really well written, actually. Korra and Asami did have some sexual tension, and a few sweet scenes together... but only a few, and that's what made Korrasami sort of weak. It was nice to see them get more friendly and spend more time together but it wasn't quite enough to sell true love to me. They needed a few more heart-to-hearts and dreamy stares.

That being said, maybe their relationship really is just beginning, could be an in-canon explanation for why we didn't see a kiss. oh well.

"Guts"? More like they didn't give a rat's ass about Korra herself by the end and were desperate to be edgy.

i don't think edgy means what you think it means.

I thought Korrasami was subtle and sweet and I'm okay that it wasn't focused on any more than it was. I thought it suited the series perfectly, after it found its feet in seasons 3 and 4.
