Honestly, I think that if the menfolk up and disappeared, we'd all spend the first few weeks scratching our heads. Certain countries and areas that are male dominated and do things like ban women from driving and nonsense like that would have a harder time of it than others. It would be interesting to see how they would progress as time went on. To go from not being allowed to drive to ruling the country is a big step.

Vanishing is different from dying awful bloody sudden death, though. Like, yeah, aside from plane and car crashes and stuff, vanishing wouldn't be as bad because no having to deal with corpse disposal, or rise in disease from not safely burying/cremating the bodies or anything. It'd be frightening, but not in the same way as watching half the population bleed to death, which is what happens in the comic.
