Haha, oh my god, yeah, it's obvious you're not in the fandom, because for every person that thinks Dean is probably straight, there are at least ten bi!Dean fans and at least eight of them are absolutely vicious if you don't agree with their headcanon. I've had to change Tumblrs twice because I got dogpiled for assuming that they probably weren't going to make him "on-screen" bisexual-- that it's fine to think that he is, but it's really not likely at all that Destiel (or any Dean/another man pairing) is going to culminate in anything romantic on-screen.

Okay? But the anti-queer!Dean fans that I've run into are not going "I don't really see it myself", they're going "Dean is SO OBVIOUSLY STRAIGHT it's so dumb that anyone would think he could even possibly be bi" and then a large dose of condescension toward any and all fans who interpret him bi. I'm not in fandom, yet these people turn up everywhere, including this community. Any post where anyone might mention that they like to interpret Dean as bi is instantly met with several posts on how stupid and impossible that is, and don't you know this actor or this writer or whatever once said this therefore fuck your bi headcanons, or something along those lines. same with that one pairing from that werewolf show.

it's obnoxious when people knock your head!canon, whether it's straight Dean or bi Dean or anything. I sincerely doubt either side on this is more or less rabid than the other.
