STOP WATCHING IT

(Anonymous) 2015-01-30 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Stop supporting corruption by watching/caring about football. If people stopped caring, watching, and paying, it would stop happening.

If you give any money to any major sports, you are the victim of a ridiculous scam, with blood and corruption on your hands.

This is like saying, "Stop listening to music," to a fan of music that is conflicted over how record labels treat their artists.

Except that these days, it's easy as falling off a log to get your music without giving anything to a label. So... that's a bad metaphor.

This is so naive. You're never going to be able to get enough people to give up watching sports for it to actually make a difference.

I agree, and the callousness of football fans is going to be all too horribly apparent to everyone else outside that small world when Qatar comes around.
