Same. It's one of the reasons I had to stop watching the show (even though telenovelas-turned-dramedies are MY SHIT. Hello, Ugly Betty). Among other things, I just couldn't get past how Rafael's douchey behaviour was glossed over, and the fact that they set up Michael to fail from the start. What was the point of that relationship, then?

It's so sweet to see you try your best with fandoms you aren't familiar with. That's really putting in the effort.
For what it's worth, the characters left to right are: Rafael, Jane and Michael.

They were so cute together (and the flashback where it showed that they met when Jane mistook him for a stripper!cop was adorable in a funny way). I really wanted them to work out even though I knew they wouldn't :(

idk, I feel like Rafael has gotten the least characterization of anyone on the show--a bunch of stuff has happened to him, and there's a bunch of facts about his backstory, but I don't feel I have a real sense of who he is besides pretty(not my type, really, but yes) and rich. And it kind of bugs me that every time I feel like he and Jane are going to have a real conversation about different beliefs/values, it kind of gets waved away. I feel like I actually know a lot more about what makes Michael (and Petra!) tick than I do Rafael.

But I'm not a very shippy person, and I don't tend to have a lot of interest in destiny/swept off their feet kind of romances, for the most part.
