It's he-said, she-said, obviously, but the Denver police have been notoriously trigger-happy in these situations lately, which is why their departmental policies about firing into moving vehicles are now being officially investigated.

Maybe she did only hit the officer after she was shot, but the point still stands that she (a) was driving a stolen vehicle (b) at cops, according to that article. Driving a stolen car at people is a bad idea, and it still doesn't make her out to be this "helpless tiny innocent" that was shot by the "big mean cops".

Did someone say she was a helpless, tiny innocent, or did they point out that if you put a bunch of bullets into someone while they're driving in your direction, them losing control of the vehicle and hitting you is kind of your fault? Also, given that the "big mean cops" are the ones currently under investigation for repeatedly shooting their guns into moving vehicles, so you might want to reconsider a few of your assumptions here.

By the way, your reading comprehension is either really bad, or you're deliberately conflating "driving toward" with "driving at." You might want to keep a list of "stand your ground" states handy if you really think that "driving in the general direction of people who have guns" is a capitol offense.
