Omg I have a basket of these I bought but never bother to use. I like the idea of filling a tub and slamming a bomb in it, and maybe soaking myself too, but you are so right about how terrible they (probably?) are in practicality.

If they're Lush ones, you can make them into shower gels. I got a huge ton over the holidays that I'm converting since they'll go to waste otherwise.

They're not lush (some local brand), but are there specific ingredients in the bath bombs that make them mixable that way?

I'm not sure, sadly. I know the Lush ones use sodium bicarbonate as one of their ingredients, but the more practical reason is just that I've only seen recipes for the Lush ones. I just tried this one out last night. And it worked! I tried to find the other link I used for an extra reference, but it's not showing up.

If the local one has roughly the same ingredients, it's definitely worth a shot. I picked a random bath bomb to check and it looks like it's all sodium bicarbonate and various oils.
