Nah I get it in classrooms all the time, especially with older guys, or guys who are in military or police fields.

My answer is to spread next to them and overlap into their personal space. I will touch knees and thighs with my classmate dudes, and gradually inch into the seat of the guys next to me in the bus, haha.

And surprisingly, they all apologize and retract their manspread. Fantastic. I have chased a dude into a corner on a bus ride by slowly inching into his seat, haha so uncomfortable.

And more surprisingly, this has never been interpreted as a sexual maneuver directed at them. They all seem uneasy when I take up their space. :D

Exactly what I do too! It's like a form of gay chicken kind of, where it's the limits of personal space being tested.

That's been my experience, too. I really scared a guy at a hockey game -- he kept taking up more and more of my space, and I was trying to shrink further and further away, until I thought, "Fuck this," and leaned against him. He practically yelped. It made me wonder if he really hadn't realised what he'd been doing. If women always get out of the way, how can men learn?
