The good news is you're probably going to be just fine. It's a crappy feeling, but as long as you're not hallucinating you don't need to worry too much.

Oh wow....I didn't know it could do that. I'm definitely going to be more careful now.

Yes, please be careful about ingesting too much caffeine. It takes a fair bit of coffee to do so, but it's perfectly possible to overdose. It's even easier if you take caffeine pills or your beverage of choice is energy drinks.

Oh my gosh. I do drink energy drinks but only one at a time...but I think I'm going to work on that now.

Thank you for talking to me about this. I don't want to die because of this. I just drink them when I need to work on stuff.

I threw out all of the energy drinks I had. Having a creative rush isn't worth the risk of death.

Yeah, honestly learning about this kind of thing made me re-examine my caffeine habits as well. I switched to black tea rather than coffee and only brewing a pot with two bags.

It helped my anxiety immensely and I feel a lot safer in terms of overconsumption. I also like to have a hot drink on hand while studying/writing and knowing I'm not putting myself in danger of long term damage while doing so is kind of a relief.

Ah yeah.., that seems like a good idea.

I never thought of putting two bags in.

Also I think my mom and dad would prefer me doing that then drinking energy drinks.

I don't think this is an experience anyone needs to repeat, so I'm sure you'll figure out a better way to police your caffeine intake.

One of my mom's carers had to go to the emergency room for cardiac arrhythmia after too much caffeine--she frequently worked back-to-back 12-hour shifts in a nursing home, and kept herself going with a lot of Red Bull.

And then there was the high school student who bought powdered caffeine over the internet, and died of an overdose about a month before graduation...

*nod* I'm definitely rethinking my caffiene habits.
