Boston MA

I love the mix of historical and modern city it has. That colonial graveyard outside of Quincy Station always strikes me as charming. Just a small area surrounded by a city, with tombs dating back hundreds of years. And how downtown looks around the holidays. With the red Macy's Christmas tree, the huge toy train display in South Station, or the lights that are hung up around Downtown Crossing. It's a beautiful city.

I will say the amount of Dunkin Donuts is crazy though. You can have two or three on just one street.

Only been into Boston for a day, but I really liked it. I loved all the preserved architecture, the relatively wide spacing of the streets, the public art pieces and interesting cafes... Plus, having green spaces even in the middle of the city always makes my estimation of a place a little higher.

The aquarium was a beautiful, spacious, and professional facility from the looks of it- very good living quarters for all the animals and with adequate privacy and space in the enclosures.

The food was on par with other major cities I've been to, which is to say it was very good. Driving wasn't a hassle either. Solid grade A for the city, definitely.

A nice place. The layout of the city does not make any sense to me though.

Yeah, it wasn't planned at all. It just sort of grew organically over time.

I guess I got used to it, haha. It can be a bit maze like.

Tbh I went to Boston after I had read like, all of Lovecraft's works.

So. Many. Gambrel-roofed houses.

I love the old colonial houses that have purple warped windows.

Been to Boston twice, plan on moving out there eventually. I love the cobblestone streets, the history, the age of city, all those things that make you feel like you might end up in another place in time one day. I also like the close access to nature and hiking trails as well as historical sites.

However, every time I go, I keep hoping it will be like Halloweentown or have the town feel of Sabrina the Teenage Witch or the Covenant (just this general ever-autumnal state, and everything feels like there's magic waiting to happen). And every time I go, this does not happen. :[

But there's something about Boston!

If I'm not mistaken, I went...perhaps it was late fall or early March/late January? I always go when it's dreary and I miss the foliage.
