You don't sound anywhere near that level of creepitude, honestly. Serial killer groupies are into actual serial killers, not wrongly convicted people who weren't supposed to be serial killers in the first place. Look at the serial killer or school shooter tags on Tumblr if you want to see real creepiness. I'm a few months older than Damien and didn't hear anything about it or see the films until the late 90s. I did get that feeling of wow, this could have been me under worse circumstances, but I never felt like there was anything I could do about it, really. Tragically, there's always someone else who's been accused of something they didn't do and needs support. Maybe you could help out elsewhere if you feel drawn to that, or just write to him anyway.
