My partner's dad's side of the family is from there, and one summer she was sent there on a co-op term for university... way back during her undergrad. Well, her grandparents got to talking with me and mentioned that there was a lot of work and they'd be willing to put me up with room and board. It was a dry summer for work in BC so I figured what the hell; two birds with one stone, meet the family and make some good cash.

Won't be making that kind of mistake again. To be fair, her folks were very nice people, it was just the rest of the experience that was bad.
