Honestly, I think the entire *point* of Vriska is that she's the kind of character you like and sympathize with while at the same time realizing how messed-up they are and how messed-up they make things for others, in large part due to their own choices. Some fans miss this, but it's the clearest intent I've ever seen out of Hussie.

She's not a hero, or an anti-hero, or a villain, or an anti-villain. She's a wild independent rebel who slavishly imitates her role models. She's a helpful, mentoring ruthless jerk who just wants to be loved and hated and can't manage either. She wants her life to change while staying exactly the same and never can really commit to trying for either. She actively dodges every chance at character growth she gets, sometimes due to plot fiat but mostly due to her own choices. She's a bold ass-kicker, a helpless pawn, and a messed-up thirteen-year-old with no clue what she wants -- and she's especially the points where all three of those contradict each other.

And now it looks like she's going to be saving the day -- without changing or growing in any way whatsoever.

In other words, well... Vriska.
