I think the whole 'flawless goddess' movement of putting female characters on pedestals is just as problematic as everything else Tumblr fusses over.

I'm supposed to like these characters that Tumblr has decided to erase all flaws off... just because they're women?

Sorry, but I don't give a damn about what gender my favorites are. If they happen to be female, fuck yeah awesome, but I'm not going to go scrubbing away at what makes them interesting and human to have them reach 'Tumblr goddess level'.

It's not even new to tumblr, as putting women on pedestals is an old staple of patriarchal bullshit, along with punishing them severely for falling short of perfection - women are either flawless or scum, no in between, no humanity. Yet another way SJW radicalism swings right around to aligning with the very thing it claims to fight against.
