On the other hand it's odd how Paris is an internationally significant attack on free speech and Boko Haram (lit "Western education is forbidden") wiping out whole villages of black people is "something happened, we don't know what but can't really do anything so ehhh".

And this has nothing to do with the fact that the victims made into the focus of attention are white Europeans. Sure.
