You wanna know the worst part? The absolute shittiest part?

My parents own a condo in the Escala building, where Christian Grey's penthouse is. People take photos outside. They demand tours. It's fucking embarrassing.

And there is no way that anywhere in the building has any view like that. o_O It's pretty much sandwiched between Belltown and Downtown, and I don't think there are any units facing Seattle Center.

And I thought me having to pass by the Escala almost every day on my way to work was bad.

Ugh, there's also this huge 50 Shades poster on the corner of 1st and Pike now. It's like, if the books had a mediocre following, I'd love them. Because they are terrible. And once you know it's a Twilight fanfic with the serial numbers filed off, it's fucking hilarious. But, no, it just had to become this fucking popular.

That said, I've also read other Seattle based fanfic. Some is equally horrible. One nearly had me fooled that it was written by a local until it only took the main character 15min to get from West Seattle to Northgate by bus. Haha... no.

ETA: And yeah, I'd be willing to give the poster makers the benefit of the doubt and say the view is supposed to be from Christian Grey's office, not apartment... but even still. The angle does not exist. Maybe, from looking at a map, Elliot and Bell? But it's just Belltown housing over there. All the high office rises that he'd logically be in are between Union and Cherry.
