I feel the place is pretty liberal.

Lots of people have a hate-on for "sjw," but "hating sjw" doesn't mean being against "social justice" just like having a hate-on for PETA doesn't mean being against animal rights. The people that complain that FS is conservative are the very people that do not get that distinction

I think a lot of people here just say 'I don't like how ______ does it BUT I'M ALL FOR JUSTICE' basically to save face instead of outright saying 'I like the status quo the way it is'

(I'm not ayrt, but their example is really good. I am very pro-animal welfare including not eating any red meat or poultry for a long time but PETA is a terrible representation of the cause and I don't want to be associated with them.)

You're one of the people OP of this thread is talking about.

As someone part of a lot of different groups that SJW constantly try to speak for, I can assure you I don't like the status quo. I feel like they're harming me more than helping me by approaching the issues the way they do. Pls, continue to invalidate my view and speak for me, though.

+2 I'm a PWD and online SJWs have absolutely set the disability rights movement back a good forty years. They epitomize the very infantilizing, fetishizing, demoralizing, codependent nanny socialism that we have spent most of our lives (or since the UN's Year of the Disabled, in 1981, at least) trying to eradicate.

TL;DR: P!ss on Pity, Nothing About us Without Us, Not Dead Yet, rah rah rah, &c., &c.

Where's the evidence of that, though? When social justice-type topics come up, the majority of people here come down on the liberal side of the issue. People here are pro-LGBTQ rights, pro-women's rights, pro-free speech/expression, disgusted by the way minorities are treated by the police, mostly against right- and far-right-leaning political parties... I'm not sure what you want, unless it's for people to uncritically accept anything anyone who says they're about social justice says.

I think that's exactly what they want. I'm imagining them making up posters. Picture of an SJW - "THIS PERSON IS YOUR FRIEND. ZE FIGHTS FOR YOU."

I think the difference between users here (named and anon) and the typical SJWs (the ones we have are trolls, for the most part, looking to get a laugh/be satirical), is they don't tend to degenerate in vitriol-spewing incoherent ad hominem attacks, if someone says something they disagree with. Nor do they actively promulgate the very stereotypes the SJWs claim to fight, which SJWs absolutely do. Given that they're collectively about 12 years old (emotionally, if not biologically), and tend to have been woefully under-socialized, thanks to growing up on the Internet.

Because everybody is all or nothing, right? Moderates are just a lie. A is A! Facts are facts, independent of any consciousness! No amount of passionate wishing, desperate longing or hopeful pleading can alter the facts. Nor will ignoring or evading the facts erase them: the facts remain, immutable!

I'm an activist and writer about feminist issues in REAL DAMN LIFE, and I fucking hate SJWs. They piss away the credibility the rest of us have spent our lives earning, and they use genuine and important issues that matter to me as cheap ways to engage in adolescent bullying. And if you don't understand that distinction, the kindest thing I can say is that I hope you're 15 and will grow out of it.

or people comparing their OTP not becoming canon to "erasure" and anyone who doesn't ship it is homophobic because yes, let's use actual LGBT issues as evidence of "proof" for our OTPs in a fandom argument

Yeah, I fucking HATED PETA when I was a vegan (they don't touch my life now that I'm a vegetarian again) because I thought they made us look like fucking morons.
