Re: how liberal is fs?

Liberal? Pretty liberal, I would say.

I think it's important to understand that social justice hard-asses aren't liberal. They may be "progressive" or "egalitarian" as well as idealistic. But liberalism, for better or worse, isn't really about yelling at people for using the wrong word.

"My kink is not your kink (and that's OK)," is a liberal statement.
"Die in a fire, you troll," is not so liberal. (Though we all have our limits.)

I'm really more of a social democrat than a liberal, myself. I guess to a lot of people in the USA I'd be a "progressive liberal."
