Re: Writing Thread
(Anonymous) 2015-02-01 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)I have so many ideas in my head, but when I sit down to actually type it out, it just seems stilted. I think part of the problem is that I'm a very visual person and I can see it flowing better as a comic, but I can't draw :(.
Anyway, I'm wondering if I should start writing it out as a comic book script with the hopes of someday finding an artist who would work with me.

Re: Writing Thread
Making a script with the hope of finding an artist is a totally legit thing to do. In fact, I was a member of a local comics-creators group that helped writers and artists hook up, and had specific writers meetings. That was a big city, but you might find it worthwhile to see if there's an analagous group in your area.
I myself have never worked in an artist/writer split (I've done pages for anthologies which had guiding principles ordained by one of the creators, and also collabed with a fellow creator where we switched off on writing AND art) but it's not that uncommon!
