And that's great news about the cover. I have a friend who had the same worries when she was publishing her first book but the cover ended up perfect for her too. Maybe things are getting better?

(Anonymous) 2015-02-02 05:18 am (UTC)(link)Does your publisher allow for your input at all? A couple of mine allow the author to be pretty involved in the design (content, style, color schemes, character specs etc.) so it was reassuring to know you wouldn't end up with anything too terrible.

And then they'll mock something up for you and you can make suggestions about what you do and don't like, which is good too. I was really happy that it was pretty much spot on on the first try, the only thing I chose to 'change' was to make my name smaller so that the title had more impact.
