Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior.

So, I'd like to think Beth survives. I cannot see Coop shooting the unsub. And, realistically, I don't think anyone was anywhere near Beth for the last minute save (though Prophet was notable in being absent after he's patched up, so he is a wildcard).

I can see 2 scenarios.
1) The masochistic unsub decides to shoot himself with Coop's gun; they struggle and the unsub is shot. This either provides proof-of-death for the other unsub OR it isn't fatal and the team must find a way to save the masochistic unsub to get Beth's location.
2) Coop does not shoot the unsub at all. The gunshot is shot at Beth BUT it's like Hotch with Foyet. The sadistic unsub shoots over her shoulder into the wall. Because he's sadistic, he doesn't play to the script and he decides that instead of killing her, he's going to torture her. This gives the team some time to find and save her.

Does anyone else have any thoughts? I'd love to see someone else's take on it. Do you think there's a way to save Beth?
