That sounds revolting to me (bones, ugh, also I'd fear for my teeth), but I'm sure my taste is revolting to someone, so...

I will say this: almost all the food on the show looks absolutely delicious, even if I probably wouldn't try half of it.

...okay, none of it, because Hannibal used long pig in everything, right? (Even the desserts?)

Oh Hannibal.

Getting your mouth cut up on purpose is pretty bad. Desserts are maybe safe? Possibly? I don't know, everything he makes is so fancy that I have a similar response to it that I do to really sculptured, detailed cakes. That's a great art exhibit, but where's the food? I recently went back to being vegetarian, so I'd just be like Freddie and have the salad. Which probably has something questionable in it, too.

Haha, I think that's a pretty normal response. The food he makes certainly looks incredible, but most the time I have no idea what it's supposed to be and it looks too perfect to eat anyway. It DOES almost look like art display. (My tastes are also less... Refined. Hannibal would think me an annoying simpleton.)

I asked about dessert because of a tweet; someone asked Brian if the dessert was safe and I think he said no. I assume he wasn't kidding... Lol.

We'd never get invited to dinner, lucky for us. LOL I forgot about that tweet.

Well now I'm offended that I'm not up to Hannibal's impossible ~standards~. I don't want your food anyway, you crazy jerk.*sniff*

LOL at foodie snobs. Really the best anyone could hope for with him would be to come off as very polite but a little dull, haha. No particularly interesting qualities and certainly no potential as a murderer. And not affiliated in any way with law enforcement, to steer clear of that kink.

Haha, yes, that's totally the safest thing to be around Hannibal. "Very polite but a little dull".

Haha, that description is very fitting for me! Maybe I should be proud of it, seeing as it would save my life in the show. :p

Whenever I feel a bit of an attitude coming on, I'll remind myself that Hannibal has major issues with rude people.

You could use human gelatin in the desserts easily enough.

human gelatin

Wow, no.

...There are two words I never thought I'd see together.

AYRT Ha, once you start watching Hannibal you start to think about these things...

I was hoping Hannibal didn't eat the parts that are higher-risk for kuru and v-CJD, but he does seem to eat brains, organs, and meat on the bone, sadly.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-04 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Kuru!

Somebody actually knows about this!

Yeah, that's the part about the one scene in the movies where he serves the guy's brain to Clarice- that's how you can get kuru.

I'm guessing that's some unpleasant (Maybe lethal?) disease you can get from eating certain parts of human? I'm not surprised, and frankly it would serve him right, but you would think he would be smarter than that. Maybe he finds the risk acceptable.

DA-I was gonna say human lard/suet/whatever our rendered fat is called. So between that and gelatin, no pie crust, tart dough, fried anything, puddings, or cheesecake would be safe. Maybe fruit salad, but considering the show, probably not.

God, lard... Yea, that's true, you could use that in almost anything. This whole cnversation has informed me in ways I never imagined.

Disturbing ways...

However, now I can understand what Hannibal does a bit better, so yay? I'll never eat your dessert Hannibal, no matter how tasty it looks!
