That movie is so awful it's good. It felt Twlighty, but the main girl was far more relatable and I felt sorry for her and the dude was NICE.

Plus, Emma Thompson and Jeremy Irons hamming it up with some, thick, stereotypical, yet I-didn't-think-they-were-bad Southern Accents. In fact, these two are why I like to watch it every now and then. Even my boyfriend liked it (hell, he's the one who showed it to me).

All of this! Like, objectively I know it's not a well written movie, but I genuinely liked Ethan and Lena and they seemed real (despite the situation/settings) to me. They weren't perfect, they both did some stupid idiotic things, but that was what I liked about them.

Plus I would watch Jeremy Irons and Emma Thompson in just about anything, so them together was perfect to me. XD

This is pretty much exactly how I feel about it.

Twilight, except with much more likable leads and a better sense of style. And also, yeah, two actors who realized it was kind of a shitty movie and decided to just go hog fucking wild on the film. There's just a lot to like about it for a movie that is by any rational standard dumb and bad. I also came out of it really liking Alice Englert, tbh. She was very good in the role.

I don't know I just liked the movie.
