So many butthurt assholes in this thread.

How hard is it to understand, other people don't have to like the same things you do and can read what they want. They really shouldn't have to justify it.

Yes I am aware that lit fiction was written during times of great upheaval and reflects the surroundings. People don't have to enjoy reading the books though. And honestly if I had a friend who was constantly on me about the things I enjoy, I might be a little bitter too.
