It's honestly a mystery to me how someone could consume media on a regular basis and not come across a few creators on whom no real 'dirt' can be found. There have been and are plenty of creative people out there who never did do anything genuinely awful, or if they did, no one knows about it.

idk, I think it depends if we're going by real-world awful or tumblr awful. Because if they mean the latter then yes, they cannot enjoy anything by anybody ever again.
