Netflix or Amazon Prime recommendations

(Anonymous) 2015-02-06 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Anything that is currently on netflix or amazon prime, what would you recommend?

I'm probably looking for more movies then tv, I watch a lot of tv but I never know what movies are good.

I'm not looking for anything genre specific at the moment, just whatever is on US netflix.

These are apparently some of my highest rated things currently available on Netflix.

5 Stars (should probably downgrade Sherlock to 4 stars after the most recent season...)

4 Stars

Fuck yeah Rescuers Down Under! I haven't seen it in ages, but I loved it. And I laughed at the trio of Robin Hood, Robin Hood Men in Tights, and... Emma, all with their bows.

I admit I'm a real sucker for North Korea-related movies. Frontline's Secrets of North Korea is the most current and imo does the best job of letting the citizens themselves tell the story. It delves pretty deep into the information smuggling that goes on there, too, which actually makes it feel less heavyhanded than most documentaries.

On the other hand, if you just want to feel things and not think, Dear Zachary will probably fill that need, albeit in a jarring way.
