Ahahaha! I've loved every Roman Polanski Movie, and he seems like a really nice guy to me. I think judging people is kinda overrated. maybe it's genetic. My mom once was penpals with a convicted, imprisoned terrorist murderer back in the wild days.

My family's always been in law enforcement in some way or another (police/court/prison officers), so maybe it's to do with having direct contact/experience with the people "behind the deed"?

He's a "really nice guy" who gave a thirteen-year-old child quaaludes and champagne and then raped her.

+1 and it's not even one of those "did he or didn't he" situations with even the slightest bit of ambiguity. We literally know for a fact that he drugged and raped a thirteen year old girl. Whether or not he did it isn't in doubt. And then he fled the country to avoid punishment for his crimes. What an upstanding citizen.
