That kinda bothers me tbh. It reeks of "you hurt me so I'm entitled to hurt you back".

Yeah, I find it unsettling too. Especially since partners assaulting women they think cheated on them is one of the leading causes of the murder of women here. Reversing the genders only highlights that it's not only men that think a relationship gives you the right to someone's body and then supposed cheaters deserve to be physically assaulted.
