Buffy!

I'm rewatching and currently on season 3 and would love to talk about its awesomeness.

You can talk to me about Buffy ANYTIME. I love all the seasons, and all [but 1] of the characters.

Buffy. Yay! And I for one love pretty much everyone except Xander, so... So I have to say that as awesome as season 2 is, I think season 3 is actually my favorite. I love the two warring slayers, the new watcher, and the whole graduation theme. And the Mayer is my favorite villain. He's so affable and is so parental to faith and yet he's so evil.

That being said, I also realized that the parts I love best about season 2 are when Angelus is targeting Buffy. It hits buttons for me. Passions is one of my all-time favorite Buffy episodes.

And I even love season 1, particularly the season 1 final. I think it gets a bad rap.

Then again, I love all seven seasons. I love that each is different. I love watching the characters grow up and change.

Yeah, I have to say I love all the seasons and villains (that thing they did in S7 with the morphing? was awesome) and almost all of the outfits. I like how they managed to make monster-of-the-week and gimmick episodes fit into the overall season arc (e.g., "Superstar") and develop character.

Totally agree with this. I'm usually more of an arc fan than a monster of the week fan, but on Buffy both types worked. And there were the seasonal arcs as well as overall character arcs and callbacks to earlier seasons.

Oh, man, FAITH. She is so amazing and awesome. I hated how she was treated. Teen age girl, alone in a new town, living in a skeezy motel. How does she get money? Why isn't she being boarded with Giles or something? Why do they treat her like an interloper who should just go away???

I have Faith feelings.

My mother read some moral guardian thing claiming that it was the least family friendly show on television, so she compensated by having us watch the most family-friendly show, Doc. We lasted one episode of Doc, but she watched Buffy loyally until the conclusion. (This is a woman who hates violence, mind you. She said she closed her eyes during the scary parts.)

I didn't grow up on Buffy. My parents were definitely super conservative back then and only let us watch G rated stuff (or scifi, but nothing with magic in it). They've mellowed out since then.

I started watching Buffy in college and got hooked.

I keep hearing people say that season 2 is the best season, and I'm like, what are you talking about, s3 had Faith and the Mayor.

Also, "Band Candy". Giles and Joyce being obnoxious teenagers. It is so, so beautiful.

I just watched Band Candy. Oh how I love that episode. Giles as a teenager is awesome, and the way he and Joyce totally avoid each other's gaze at the end is hilarious.

Yup. I'd say season 2 is probably my second favorite, but season 3 is completely the best.

I love Season 3. The Mayor is my favorite Buffy villain because of the mix between his evil and his "aw shucks" down-home surface. I so wish they'd been able to bring him back somehow before the end of the series.

Completely agree. The Mayor is my favorite too.

I started watching in later seasons, so those are my favorite. Currently singing at the top of my lungs to Once More, With Feeling OST.

:) I love them all. Every season. They each have their own unique awesomeness. I think overall arc-wise 2 and 3 are the best, but I think most of the strongest single episodes are in the later seasons. Once More, With Feeling is especially awesome, though. I love that episode.
