(Anonymous) 2015-02-07 01:16 am (UTC)(link)Secret anon here, he did pretty much rape that mute Volantis prostitute in aDwD and talked about raping Cersei, too. Especially that first one (considering Tyrion runs his mouth a lot, so he might not have meant the second one) pretty much puts him beyond redeemable in my book and I don't care how ~conflicted~ and ~complex~ he is.
"It might please m'lord to strangle you. That's how I served my last whore. Do you think your master would object? Surely not. He has a hundred more like you, but no one else like me." This time, when he grinned, he got the fear he wanted."
His interaction with another prostitute. Why in the hell would I still root for this psycho?
I actually have no problem with Cersei's infanticide in the books. That, too me, seemed like a smart move for a politician of those times. It's her POV chapters in Book 4 that really got grating. Although I suppose they still have a chance to mess that up.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-07 07:34 am (UTC)(link)(*for completion's sake, I don't think infanticide is fine and dandy in real life (I know, what a shock, I bet none of you could have guessed that), but I don't find Cersei having bastards killed all the more terrible than Tyrion flinging people over the walls in catapults; both of them are murderers, but those were politicial decisions and it's probably the one smart thing Cersei's ever done. Terrible, yes, but smart, and in literature, I find smart characters more interesting than good ones. Hell, that's why I used to like Tyrion.)

(Anonymous) 2015-02-07 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)But no, Tyrion didn't rape a prostitute unless you're one of those people who believes prostitution is rape. Iirc he felt disgusted and offered her his head to bring to Cersei. And being threatening to another girl is not the same as having Westeros Mengele perform experiments on other girls.
