I've seen some SJWs refer to 'bromance' as a misogynistic term because men are trying to make the word 'romance' for them.

Oh geez. Sure, because romance is always first and foremost for women, and women never have strong platonic friendships. And "romance" is all about women, because the world is interpreted through the male gaze.
