Re: How long do you usually keep friends?

Enh, depends how you define 'friend.' For us, offline and online friends are very amorphous categories, so we'll be friends with someone online, move to their area and become offline friends, then move and be online again.

That said, we pretty much lost ALL our friends after coming out. We have two or three stalwarts who survived the entire process.

I find it best and healthiest to have a plan to escape everyone I meet. It's just the safest way to run my life. That said, I have a lot of friends who are total blessings in my life, and I hope to continue my association with them, but I'll survive if they end.
