What couple(s) did you ship first? This can be way before you even heard the words shipping or fandom. I remember shipping Bonnie/K.I.T.T., MacGyver/Murdoc and Dex Dexter/anyone but Alexis.

Miss Piggy/Kermit and Donald Duck/Daisy were my Hell No couples (which I guess was the point with the Muppets).

My first "ship" was probably Meowth/Pikachu. I was really convinced Pikachu was a girl, and that the endgame would involve them getting married and reconciling their differences. I think Ash's Pikachu is actually a guy (it was confirmed? or something?) and most of my today ships are slash but... lol. that's probably one ship that can stay within the realm of my nine year old self.

After that, probably Kari/TK or Tai/Sora from Digimon.

Vegeta/Bulma FOREVER!

All of the canon ships in Wheel of Time

Casey Jones/April O'Neil.

Jake/Cassie and Rachel/Tobias in Animorphs. But even back then I was so not a diehard shipper, and when there was an alternate timeline where Rachel and Marco were starting to date I just kind of shrugged and went "yeah, okay, I'll go along with that".

I'm pretty sure my first ever ship was Mulan and Shang, way before Mulan 2. I was still mostly a kid when Mulan 2 came out so I was pretty psyched, but now that I'm an adult, I'm appalled at how ... bad it is.

My first ship for the first fandom I participated in was Danny and Sam from Danny Phantom. Still love them tbh, I should rewatch that series.

Before I'd even heard of fandom, Ben/Felicity from the American Girl series, and I toyed around with shipping Harry/Hermione from Harry Potter but it didn't sit well with me. Then I joined fandom, discovered Ron/Hermione shippers and that became my first OTP. (I actually didn't know for quite some time that a lot of people shipped things they didn't necessarily think would be canon. It was a completely foreign concept to me, now that I think about it probably because of the R/Hr vs H/Hr shipwars, even though I stayed out of them because IDGAF and just wanted to ship R/Hr in peace.)

These guys were my first brOTP:

They're a peasant boy and a cop investigating a... piglet fraud. There's this bad guy who pretends to sell piglets in a sack but when someone buys them from him, he gives them a sack with a dog in it instead.

I still friend-ship it *sighs*

Sydney/Vaughn

Brings back memory of not giving a shit about Bradley Cooper's character and now look how far Sydney's ~~housepet~~ roomate has gone!

Technically, John Taylor/Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran, but that was mid 80s and ended when my mum found my fic, threw it out and chastised me for writing it. (Most def had not heard of fandom/fic at that point.) I consider Blair/Jim from The Sentinel to be my first true pairing--I found it and fandom/fanfic all at the same time, back in 96.

Harry/Cho Chang (I was always big Cho defender -- I never understood why people acted like her behavior was in some way wrong, the poor girl)

Link/Zelda

Cloud/Sephiroth (this one kind of crept up on me, though I think I only shipped it for the hotness, given that I only ever saw Advent Children, I don't ship it much anymore)

L/Light Yagami

Zuko/Mai

Oookay, let's go way, way back in time: When I was a little kid, there was a picture book and also later a cartoon series for kids by a guy named Janosch. There was a plot about a little tiger and a little bear who were living together and liked each other very, very much. They were totally married, I tell you! (I also wasn't the only one convinced of that. Talked to a friend some time ago about things from our childhood, and said friend was equally convinced as a child that they were married.)

Pokeshipping

Aw yes, Bonnie/K.I.T.T.! There's not a whole lot for that pairing, though.

Among my first ones were Raphael/April (Tmnt) and Mulder/Scully.
I thought Lucky Luke and Calamity Jane were kinda adorable together, even though they were more "bromancy" rather than actual romance.

Hoo-boy. Jem/Riot from Jem and the Holograms, Storm/Wolverine from the X-men animated series (and also, occasionally, Jubilee/Gambit), and Elisa/Goliath from Gargoyles.

Goku/food no shame

Because I'm old enough to have seen Star Trek: TOS when it aired, Kirk/Spock.

And from a literature perspective, Aragorn/Boromir loooooong before the films ever came out. Before Ralph Bakshi to be honest.

Mulder/Scully. I had couples that I liked before them, but M/S was definitely the first couple I properly shipped.

I still remember being irrationally upset by the episode "3." I was all "nooooo you belong to Scullllyyyyyy!"

Bulma/Vegeta. They were the reason I found out what shipping/fanfic was and were the reason I first went looking for it. My babies foreverrrrr~

Han/Leia was probably my first ship before I knew what shipping was. Also Picard/Crusher and Odo/Kira. All three of them I still ship but now OTP other ships in those fandoms.

Lois and Clark. Jacen and Jaina Solo.

From cartoons, probably either Jubilee/Gambit or Eric/Sheila from Dungeons & Dragons.

Live action was Han/Leia. I loved them so much.
