There is so much in this secret that makes my brain tilt. Goodness, your plot bunnies are undoubtedly lovely little conceptual mammals, but I'm sure they are safe from others. I think others have mentioned the relatively small possibility that anyone would even touch your stories ...

... Gah; look, my dear, there's no other way to say this - you have a more than somewhat swollen opinion of your own talent (and only potential talent at that, since you haven't apparently tried to write anything.)

Try writing something, and setting it free on the internet. It might do you a world of good.

Maybe they don't have such a swollen opinion about their writing, but are still afraid people will steal it. They did say they've had works stolen before. My car is a piece of crap, but I don't want it to be stolen either.

Actually, no, they didn't say they'd had works stolen before. The secret was pretty clear that they'd never written any of their "plot bunnies" because they were afraid of them being stolen.

That leaves two possibilities: that OP is freakily paranoid over no. damn. thing. because they've never written any. damn. thing.

or that OP is insanely assured of talent that OP has never exercised or evidenced.

Oh, wait. No, there's a third possibility. That OP is both.

Or option 3, where you are wrong because you didn't bother to read OP's comments, are reading too much into a silly secret (didn't you see the last line?), and are coming across as very hostile.
