I get that.

Although I write for myself and I don't post most of the stuff I write, I only edit it when I decide to post it because I think someone else may enjoy it.
Otherwise the work is not worth so, why do it when I can do anything else?

I'm exactly the same. I write for myself all the time. I only edit and post if I think there's a demand for the story to be out there. Otherwise, it's just too much like pointless work when I could be enjoying myself further down the plotline.
