Frankly, at this rate, anything he's in I will watch.

No, God, no. I like Chris Pratt but (a) that would be horrible and (b) for God's sake can't you make a new adventure character? It's not like there's anything that great about Indiana Jones. He's in good adventure movies, he wears cool clothes, and he's played by a good actor. All of those things are replicable w/o the specificity of the Indiana Jones character. Do something that's not a remake for once in your miserable lives, Hollywood.

Ngl, despite my affection for Pratt when I heard this I just whispered, “No.”

If anyone is going to be Indiana, I think he's a fun choice. That said, I still don't know how I feel about a reboot... It's one of those things I sort of wish would be left alone.

(Despite this if it gets made, I imagine I'll see it.)

Huh. What has he done recently (as in roles)? Imo his looks would make a good Indiana Jones.

Guardians of the Galaxy, in which he plays a rogue spaceship captain who steals valuable things from alien planets.

No. Come on, we don't need more reboots, and certainly not an Indiana Jones reboot. I don't care who can get to star. Just no.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-09 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
The only good thing about this travesty will be the South Park parody of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg ramming it up Chris Pratt's ass. Some classics shouldn't be touched.

Chris Pratt is so lovely.

For anyone who wants to picture Chris Pratt in the role...

Indiana Jones doesn't need to be remade. That being said, if Hollywood insists in doing it, he'd be perfect.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-10 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly this.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-09 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think he could pull off the glasses and tweed look, though. The thing about Indiana is that he was bookish too. Hot and bookish.

They already tried to reboot the series once with the crystal skull kid and it just didn't go over with audiences at all. It would be really bad for Pratt's career if this sank.

I don't think he's very attractive. Kind of smushy looking. But whatever, I won't be watching a remake anyway.

Hmm, I'd rather they not remake Indiana Jones tbh, but I guess if they really want to I could see him in the role.

I admit, I'm just kinda uninterested in reboots in general. Hollywood hasn't reached Broadway levels of remakes yet, but they seem deadset on trying.

NO. No. Nooooo. No no no.

In conclusion: no.

Nothing against Chris Pratt, I like him well enough. I just really don't want another remake. Of anything. Ever

I feel much the same.

First thought at Indiana Jones reboot: I'LL HATE IT.

Hearing Chris Pratt might be the lead: Well, i guess I'll watch it anyway.

SAME. SAME SAME SAME SAME SAME.

And I ADORE the original films.

(Anonymous) 2015-02-10 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
My only fear is how they're going to do Indy's character. Chris Pratt is the guy from Guardians of the Galaxy, yes? He plays kind of a smart ass character. I don't want anyone to write Indy along those same lines. He's not Han Solo, he's actually too serious sometimes, especially about archeology. Chris Pratt can play him, I don't care, but don't turn Indiana Jones into a caricature of himself, that would break my heart.

I'd rather have Rocket Raccoon AKA Bradley Cooper as Indy over Chris Pratt. Either him or Alex o'Loughlin would be fine by me.

Image: Chris Pratt in a purple suit and tie, standing at a podium, with the title: Rumor: Chris Pratt Might Be the New Indiana Jones

Text: I hope this rumor is true because it’s the only possible way I would ever accept anyone else other than Harrison Ford as Indy. I want this reboot so much now!

S!B I still feel like disloyal fan for even thinking such thing. Sorry, Harrison. :(

Yeah, no. I don't see the need for YET ANOTHER REBOOT, dear gods, and especially not of Indiana Jones, but Mr. Pratt is no Indy.

He's not gross or untalented, he's just...not Indy.
