Re: Complaining thread

There's this person in an RP I'm on. Just recently in a private conversation, she got on me about how I played my character in a chat thread with someone else. and like critique is one thing but she's looking over stuff I posted and like "this is wrong, this is wrong, this is wrong" before I can even explain.

When I show that I'm exasperated with her she tells me "don't you 'groan' at me."

We eventually worked it out when I finally got a chance to explain, but it bothers me that she does this. I've been in the fandom for this show longer than she has. But I feel like if I tell an admin about it, she'll spin it as "[name} just can't take critique"

Bonus: One time I critiqued her playing was literally when she started the conversation. and it ended in her getting testy. I mean she apologized later, but still.

I'd avoid this person like the plague. I assume you're doing this for fun and this doesn't sound at all fun.

Yes that's what I'm trying at this point.

There's a part of me that feels incredibly bad for possibly getting her in trouble...but I'm doccing this and showing it to a mod.

Nah. She gets to deal with the consequences of her own behavior. The rest of the world (including you) aren't obliged to try and compensate for her lack of social skills and propriety.

Ah well there's still the reaction and I'm kind of afraid to see her truly angry.

I understand. But unless there are some concrete, real life repercussions to her getting mad, consider that being held hostage to someone else's butthurt feelings is a great way to buy yourself more grief and butthurt. It's how she's managed to get away with it all this time.

Sounds like this person needs to get a life. She is taking it way too seriously, and is being rude as fuck.

The problem response to her points are as follows.

>This is wrong
Don't care
>This is wrong
Still don't care
>This is wrong
Do you want to RP this character? You seem interested in this. (I'm not letting you have it)

>Don't you groan at me
Fuck off already.

Then roll for a sneak attack in RP! You were hiding a knife all along! Go for the crit! (if it's not that kind of rp, this will work even better, you'll have inititive for sure if she never saw it coming!)
