Kitty had a good day.

My little kitty, Fluff Monster caught and ate three flies today. I didn't even notice that many had gotten in the house during the recent warm weather we had until she started eating them. I'm starting to think flies are her favorite food.

Is it okay for cats to eat flies? I always half-heartedly scold mine, but am mostly just secretly pleased that she's taking care of the bugs because I hate dealing with them, either alive or dead. It's like, protein or something, right? Or are they covered in germs, I have no idea.

I doubt it's anymore dangerous than a cats natural diet. I would definitely not let her eat spiders, or things that sting though.
