It may sound stupid but the scene in Spartacus (season 3, I think) when Crixus lets Naevia fight her rapist on her own, without intervening even when it looks like she's going to lose. I didn't even like them together before this scene, but that was the moment when they became my favorite relationship in Spartacus.

That was a damn good scene.

(Since you mentioned Spartacus, Varro's death was fantastic and absolutely heartbreaking. I don't think I ever recovered from it. I also LOVED Spartacus' death, and Agron and Nasir being there at the end.)
