Because the cluebat and the clue-by-four just aren't enough

You have an orbital clue laser. Who do you target first?

I nominate:
The Texas state legislature
The comments section on Kotaku. (Youtube is impervious to anything short of nu-clue-r weapons.)
The "Humanity is Superior" group on FIMFiction, and "Military Bronies" for good measure
ExplainXKCD, but only for the first two hours after it updates
Everyone who responded to Know Your Meme's Budd Dwyer post by bragging about how hardcore they were and how they'd seen much gorier shock videos
Everyone who has ever used "voidself" as a personal pronoun
The first poster to take this comment seriously

Who's next?

Everyone in the whole world, I can't pick and choose like that

Then let the clues rain down upon your own head.

EVERYONE about Climate Change.

Like, I get that it doesn't seem like a big deal to people in currently unaffected area (i.e. the occident, china, etc). It probably won't, right up until we're all completely fucked.

Okay....

anyone who unironically says "assburgers"
literary fiction snobs
people who bitch about things in fanfic that are clearly tagged
People who hate on Lily for ditching Snape
people who can't explain why they dislike a character without "Mary Sue"
Everybody who thinks you can choose to be gay or trans (yes that includes the tumblrinas)
All of Autism Speaks
Anti-Vaxxers
Tumblr, just all of tumblr

I nominate reverse snobs in addition to the regular fiction snobs. Yes, there are issues with what's considered "literary" or not, no not every book with that label is about a middle-aged white man having a mid-life crisis surrounded by other miserable people. Can't we all just let people read what they like without making sweeping generalizations about it?

I apologize, you're right

any kind of snob or elitist is insufferable, why are we judging someone else's taste when we can just accept we like different things and move on. I mean I don't judge my mom for liking vegetables and hating sweet food.

I don't think there's any need to apologize. Just because one of them happened to be on your mind doesn't mean you're just fine with other kinds of snobs. I was just adding on.

Voidself thinks Mary Sue has Assburgers. Excuse me, Ass-burger's Sindrone.

Voidself thinks this is a terrible metaphor. You need to understand that people don't learn by being struck but by being taught. They have to ask questions and listen to the answers.

Honestly, I just used the term because that's what they say on Bad Roleplayers Suck.

Military Bronies? Are they bronies in the military, or militant bronies, or...?

Bronies (who claim to be) in the military. Nothing wrong with that per se, but they have a tendency to bring a trigger-happy America-fuck-yeah approach to fic. You know those obnoxious alternate history novels where an American who knows about guns winds up in the past and basically conquers everything? Picture that, only the folks being conquered are cute little ponies.

That's so bizarre. I dunno, that kind of jingoism just seems kinda at odds with the sparkles and rainbows of My Little Pony. (Not that that's ever stopped fandom before.)

I had no idea this was even a thing.

Everyone who is anti-science or uses pseudo-science to justify an unscientific viewpoint -- such as vaxxers, or climate change denialists, or Republicans voting on women's issues.

to be fair, the other side is often really guilty of strawmanning, but no one calls them out on it because they're technicallyright

NAYRT

People arguing in favor of vaccinations or women's rights or what-have-you often make really shitty arguments in favor of those views, but it's easy to overlook because they happen to be arguing in favor of the correct side.
