1. Because lesbians make everything better.
2. It's much easier to hear lines like "Open up your gates cause I can't wait to see the light" and not want to gouge my eyes out if I imagine it's one lady singing it to another.

Because it wouldn't be as cheesy dude!bro objectifying a vagina as it is coming from him (or any other man who sings about women as objects or prey). Like, he can sing about this shit at the Super Bowl, which is pretty much Disney World the Sporting Event. If he were a woman singing it to another lady, a lot of the cliche would be alleviated because it's pretty unheard of for women to go around glorifying other women in the same manner, especially in the most mainstream of mainstream music.
