I've seen this commercial advertising a giant four foot teddy bear for St. Valentine's Day. Mind you, it's aimed at adults giving it to other adults and not being shown as a kid's toy.

So, since most of us here are adults with the rest being about to be adults, what would you do if someone gave you that giant teddy bear? What would you do with it? Would it even fit in your place?

I just thought it was one of the most unpractical gifts I had ever seen.

I would make my girlfriend carry it around while cosplaying Miles Edgeworth, of course. And then we would go to cons and take pics with Gumshoe cosplayers carrying it around too.

Hold it. Stroke its fur. Whisper my darkest secrets and twisted plans for them in its ear. Curl up in its lap and laugh mockingly.

Hang it on the balcony in a prisoner's outfit so that the neighbors would have something to talk about.

I had one of those. ...Well, not exactly one like in the commercial, but it was maybe 3 feet long and black and brown, colored and shaped quite a bit like a real bear. I slept on it as a pillow for a while. Then I eventually gave it to my nephew.

I would give it to a small child. What the hell would I do with a giant stuffed teddy bear, might as well make some kid go nuts for.

What's hilarious is that we have such a bear. My brother worked at a retail shop and won an employee raffle (back when he was in high school). He ended up with this giant-ass bear and we've had it ever since.

He's since moved out but my parents still have the bear. It is a giant pain-in-the-ass. We keep moving it from point A to point B. There is no good place for it. My parents keep hinting and pushing my brother to take the thing but he lives in a smaller house and won't take it.

I think they have every right to donate it or get rid of it somehow but it is technically my brother's. I think he's a bit of an ass to make them deal with it. Currently, it's on my dad's king-sized bed and takes up half of it because there's nowhere else for it.

I don't know why anyone would think a stuffed animal that big is a good idea. They're heavy and awkward.

Probably give it to a child? The only bear I have an the only one I want is Obi-bear, my Obi-Wan build a bear. Oh and I have a tiny little stuffed penguin because penguins are awesome. And I'd keep a stuffed dragon if someone gave me that. But mostly I don't like stuffed animals.

Get pissed off because now I have to figure out what to do with a 4 foot teddy bear.

Sleep on it, I guess.

I would put it in a closet until the next charity toy drive. I have my 4 favorite stuffed animals from childhood, a small stuffed panda that's part of an on-going inside joke with my sister, and then a stuffed armadillo that I picked up a few years ago. None are larger than 12".

I just really dislike useless gifts. I'd rather get books/games/art supplies any day than a stuffed animal or 80% of "decorative" items.

I just built a kotatsu and honestly a giant teddy bear would be the perfect thing to sit on under it.

That commercial is one of the most ridiculous ones I have seen and hope to god no one actually believes a 4 foot tall teddy bear is a good Valentine's Day gift idea. I'd much rather get candy and flowers. At least those don't sit around collecting dust and taking up space.

I've seen that commercial too and thought it was ridiculous. Even if the giftee likes it, it's just gonna sit somewhere taking up space.

Maybe you're supposed to cuddle with it when your SO can't be there?

Donate it/give it away. I have way too much random stuff to take on something that big that I won't use.

My brother won a giant Homer Simpson from a carnival years ago and my parents finally threw it out because it just got in the way.

Use it to prop up the four-foot tall roses I found while surfing the web today.

Put it on a chair in my living room as I never use one of them and voila I have a great conversation piece!

Fall asleep hugging it and use it as a pillow.

I have a character who would love this because she sleeps in a pile of cuddly toys.

I don't even know what I would do with it. Probably try and use it as a conversation starter, but just a teddy bear isn't funny enough so maybe like, throw a wig and sunglasses on it or something.

Dress it up in people clothes and have it sit up against the living room window to freak people out? Idk, I like cuddlies but a 4ft tall bear is a bit much.

Give it to the dogs to chew.

If you're my employer, you use it as punishment.

(Seriously. There's a five-foot stuffed Olaf that we cannot sell, because it's five feet tall and $75 on rock-bottom 'please take this thing or we will burn it in the parking lot' clerance, and the latest 'thing' from Management is that if a supervisor catches you ignoring a customer you have to do a lap around the store carrying Olaf.)
